The children marked our principal, Martin Duffy’s, retirement at the end of June with a day packed with a hot-chocolate and chats coffee morning, memory sharing, art-work and messages presented by the children, tree-planting, singing and dancing, and presentation from the staff of artwork by artist, Sarah Moloney. The Parents Association and Board of Management held a retirement function at the end of the summer. We thank Mr. Duffy for his hard work and commitment to the school and wider community, and wish him well on his retirement.
On the final day of school, we had our 6th class graduation. We marked our caretaker, Andy Dermody’s retirement. It was also Ms. Duffy’s last day teaching with us. We thank them for all the talents and vibrancy they brought to our school. Best wishes to Cormac, Andy and Ms. Duffy on their next chapter.
